The Security Committee convenes a meeting to Strengthen the University Security

Busitema University's Security Committee has convened a meeting today(15th-Feb-2024) to address the important security measures within the university premises. Chaired by Deputy Vice Chancellor-Academics Affairs, Prof. Biira Saphina who represented the Vice Chancellor, the meeting was attended by a number key security stakeholders, including Mr. Matsiko Abert Mutungwire, the University Secretary, SSP Turyahabwe Asanasio, the University Chief Security Officer, and a number of security officers. With a commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of all university community members , discussions revolved around implementing strategies aimed at enhancing the Security at the University. Prof. Biira advocated the implementation of a monthly reporting system to keep the Top Management informed about the security status that are happening on the different university campuses. She also requested that the university's premises be guarded by trained guards. The Cheif Security advocated for more funding to nesure smooth running of security matters at the Univeersity
