Minister of Health Pays a courtesy visit to the Faculty of Health Sciences

A delegation from the Ministry of Health, led by the Minister of Health Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng, paid a courtesy visit to Busitema University, Faculty of Health Sciences. The purpose of the visit was to assess and monitor the ongoing initiatives of Seed Global Health within the Eastern Region, particularly at Mbale Regional Referral Hospital. Seed Global Health, in collaboration with the Government of Uganda, is dedicated to providing healthcare services to the people of the Eastern region. Busitema University, through its Faculty of Health Sciences, has been a key player in implementing this Partnership, since Mbale Regional Referral Hospital serves as our teaching hospital.
The delegation was welcomed by the Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Professor Dan Kibuule, and engaged in discussions with various faculty members, including students from the Department of Nursing. The minister's visit aimed to assess the impact of Seed Global Health's interventions at both Busitema University and Mbale Regional Referral Hospital.
The Minister's visit provided an opportunity for stakeholders to exchange ideas, experiences, and challenges encountered in the implementation of healthcare programs . Through such partnerships and initiatives, the Ministry of Health remains a key supporter of Busitema University in its mission to enhance healthcare outcomes and address the needs of the community in the arena of Health.
