Dr. Charles Eryenyu has officially assumed the role of Deputy Director of Quality Assurance at Busitema university. Taking the reins from Assoc. Prof. Biira Saphina , Dr. Eryenyu brings an extensive Exprience and  commitment to improve University's standards of excellence. The handover was, presided over by the Vice Chancellor, accompanied by the members of the top management.

The Quality Assurance Directorate provides leadership and collaborates closely with the Academic Registrar, Deans of Faculties, and Heads of Departments to ensure academic quality and standards are maintained and enhanced throughout the University. It also establishes quality assurance policies and oversees University-wide initiatives. Managing human resources within the directorate is another crucial aspect, including staff deployment, motivation, and appraisal. The directorate devises appropriate qualitative and quantitative measures and performance indicators for quality assurance and internal procedures. It monitors and implements changes to regulations and procedures to comply with requirements from relevant professional bodies. Additionally, the directorate manages the accreditation of the University's Academic programs, reviews departmental reports, and ensures compliance with quality assurance standards
