URSB Empowers Busitema Reseachers, Inventors and Innovators with a two-day Intellectual Property Training

Busitema Researchers, Inventors, and Innovators have kicked off a two-day training on Intellectual Property (IP), taking place at the Faculty of Engineering and Technology. with an official opening by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic Affairs), Prof. Biira Saphina, the training is facilitated by officials from the Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) in collaboration with the Directorate of Graduate Studies, Research, and Innovations, this initiative aims to equip researchers, inventors, and innovators with essential knowledge concerning Intellectual Property issues.

Attended by numerous staff members actively engaged in various innovative projects and research Activities across Various faculties, the training Intends to foster a culture of awareness and understanding around intellectual property. Participants are expected to gain insights into the matters of Intellectual Property protection, thereby empowering them to safeguard their intellectual creations and innovations effectively. Through such collaborative efforts, Busitema University continues to champion excellence in research and innovation while upholding the principles of intellectual property rights and academic integrity
