Busitema University has held a collaboration meeting with the Technical Working Group on Industrial Zones (TWGIZ). The team included experts from the Ministry of Local Government , Trademark Africa, , Dell Uganda, UNCDF and Freezone Authority. The team was led by Mr Anthony Namara a Commissioner from the Ministry of Local Government and they were received by the Vice Chancellor Professor Paul Waako in company of Mr Albert Matsiko ( University Secretary), Ms Rebecca Ironga (Busitema University Fund Business Manager), Dr Charles Muweesi (Director-DIA) and Associate Professor Samson Rwahwire (Director-Directorate DGSRI).   
The collaboration discussion centered around how the program can boost Teaching, Research and Innovations in the Field of Textile Engineering as well as commercialization of Innovations.
