The Faculty of Engineering hosts a delegation from Engineers Without Borders

A delegation from Engineers Without Borders, led by Founder Professor Bernard Amadei from the United States of America and Eng. Peter Nzabanita, the Executive Director of Engineers Without Borders East Africa payed a visit and had an Engagement with the staff and students at the Faculty of Engineering and Technology
Assoc. Prof. Biira Saphina, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Academic Affairs, presided over this engagement and emphasized the value of these kinds of partnerships in enhancing the academic experience and making a significant contribution to societal impact.
The major area of mutual collaboration includes students exchange, community based engineering projects, multidisciplinary research to engineering solutions, capacity building for staff and students. During the engagement discussion, both parties expressed their commitment to combine their expertise and resources to tackle challenges facing communities, particularly in the field of engineering. With a focus on practical, community-oriented projects, the collaboration seeks to empower students with real-world experience while simultaneously addressing societal needs.
