Busitema University recently hosted an extensive week-long orientation for its new students, aimed at ensuring a smooth transition into university life. This orientation, conducted across all university campuses provided essential information and resources to support both academic and extracurricular endeavors. A key component of the orientation was a special session dedicated to the university library. Students were guided on how to effectively utilize the library's extensive resources, a crucial aspect of their academic success. In addition, they participated in guided tours of campus facilities, lecture halls, to familiarize themselves with their new environment.

The orientation also included the election of class leaders. These elected representatives will play a vital role in bridging communication between the students and the university administration, ensuring that student concerns and needs are addressed effectively. Furthermore, students received practical advice on navigating the university’s student portal, engaging in academic and sports activities and adhering to safety guidelines.
