BUSDAA Extends Compassion: Supporting Education and Nourishment at Busitema College Primary School

Today, Busitema University Seventh-day Adventist Association (BUSDAA) extended a hand of compassion to Busitema College Primary School, a rural school in Busia District, by making a meaningful impact on both the students and teachers.

Recognizing the dire challenges faced by the school, BUSDAA donated essential scholastic materials, repaired the school’s borehole, and provided over 150kg of maize flour and 100kg of beans to help feed the P.7 candidate class .

In a school of over 700 students, only 30 students manage to have lunch daily. You may wonder why only 30 students have lunch. The reason is simple yet heartbreaking, they are the only ones who were able to bring 10kg of maize flour and 4kg of beans each to sustain them for the term. The rest, unfortunately, go without. To ease this burden, BUSDAA took the initiative to support the P.7 candidates, ensuring they can focus on their studies without the anxiety of hunger or the exhaustion of walking miles just to eat.

Beyond physical nourishment, BUSDAA also shared spiritual encouragement by gifting teachers copies of "The Great Hope," spreading the message of faith and resilience.

This initiative is more than just a donation; it is an investment in education, health, and hope. Together, we can uplift communities and transform lives, one act of kindness at a time .
