Busitema University Partners with International Hospital Kampala to Enhance Anesthesia Training

Busitema University and International Hospital Kampala (IHK)- C-Care Uganda have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at providing comprehensive training and practical experience to students pursuing the Bachelor of Anaesthesia degree. The MoU was signed on behalf of the University by Vice Chancellor Professor Paul Waako, who was accompanied by Associate Professor Pakoyo Kamba, Deputy Vice Chancellor Finance and Administration, Dr. Charles Muweesi, Director-Institutional Advancement, and Mr. Paddy Namuremire, Director Planning.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Professor Waako emphasized the importance of partnerships in enhancing the quality of education and training. He noted that the collaboration with IHK-C-Care Uganda will provide students with hands-on experience in a modern and well-equipped healthcare facility. "This partnership is a major step forward in our efforts to produce competent and skilled anesthesia professionals who are ready to meet the growing healthcare needs of our country," said Professor Waako.

IHK-C-Care Uganda Chief Executive Officer,  expressed his delight at the partnership, stating that it will contribute to the development of a skilled workforce in the field of anesthesia. "We are committed to providing students with the best possible training experience and are confident that this collaboration will produce graduates who are well-prepared to excel in their careers.
