Busitema University International Students Association( BUISA) successfully held their first elections at the Faculty of Health Sciences and Mr. kumiki was elected the President

The international students leadership election was organised at the Faculty of Health Sciences spearheaded by Ms. Harriet Nabirye, Principal Institutional Advancement Officer( Internationalization and Partnerships). The Association seeks to unite international students across the University campuses.

The elected pioneer leaders include; Mr. Kumiki Radwan Said from the Faculty of Engineering as the President, with Ms. Sarah Kotuti as the Vice President, Ms. Masha Zawadi Joyce as the General Secretary, and Mr.Tsekpetse Prince from the Faculty of Health Sciences serving as the Secretary for Finance.

Speaking at the inauguration gathering, the Assistant  Administrative officer in charge of Guild Affairs, representing the Dean of Students, emphasized the importance of international students as ambassadors of Busitema University. He pledged to advocate for revision of  the guild policy to include a position for an international student representative, ensuring their voices are heard and concerns addressed effectively.

He urged them to focus on what they would bring home instead of the buildings, pointing out that Busitema is currently producing the majority of the top teachers, doctors, and engineers across the country and the region

It is encouraged of all international students to join this Association and uphold unity in their continued pursuance of excellence.
